Unfortunately, having a two-year-old means that relaxing is a bit challenging.
So I guess I’ll catch you up on the happenings around these here parts.
First. I graduated! That’s the big news, that’s why it first. And that’s why I need to relax.
Second. We’ve moved. And we’re nearly done moving in. Thank goodness…because moving is not relaxing.
Third. I’m way into the 3rd trimester now. Only 5 weeks to go! Also not helping the relaxing…mostly due to increased exhaustion and discomfort and decreased sleeping. Oh well.
This is how we relax…
I finished my first semester of nursing school.
One down. Three to go.
Not too bad, if you ask me. I’m sure I could think of more to say, but even though it’s Sunday and my last final was Friday morning my brain is still tired. So instead I shall drink a diet coke (tequila, wine, and vodka are all contraindicated with percocet, but that’s another story for another post), read Harry Potter, and celebrate the beginning of my two week summer break.
Study habits, for example, never change (not mine anyway).
Ever since first starting college (back 2001), I’ve been consuming cinnamon bears and hot tamales when studying. Now that I’m back in school, guess what I’m consuming. Go on, guess. Cinnamon bears and hot tamales. There’s just something about their sugary goodness combined with cinnamon flavor that gets me through the long study sessions.
I wish I had a giant jar filled with cinnamon bears just for my studies. But it’s probably better that I buy the small bags and make them last several days. I feel this many cinnamon bears would only result in an upset stomach and a sore tongue, you know, from
over-indulging too much studying.
