Morning Walk

We decided to go for a quick morning walk.  It was beautiful out and not too hot.  It just seemed the perfect way to start the day.

And not to brag or anything, but there’s a pretty nice state park mere miles (less than 5) from where we live.  And while the trails aren’t particularly strenuous or long, they are perfect for one very pregnant mama and one two-year-old SweetPea.  So off we headed.

Running! (If only I could put that in SweetPea's voice, it would really make the caption).

Getting some snacks in. Proper nutrition is important during these strenuous outings.

Rock climbing! Don't worry, Dad is right there waiting to swoop in if need be!

Checking out the view...not the best view of the walk, but certainly a sweet spot to sit.

These Boots Are Made For Walking

A quick hike…made quicker by the fact that Mom (that would be me) forgot to pack SweetPea’s milk.  But still enjoyable.

We try to get out of the house every day.  It doesn’t always happen.  But it makes for a happier SweetPea, Mom, and Dad…so it’s pretty good motivation.  Fortunately we live in an area where we can get out and experience nature without a long drive.  One of the many reasons I love Montana!

Unsuccessful Camping

Well, we tried to go camping.  But apparently the site we reserved as a campsite is not actually a campsite…so instead we just had a picnic.

Things that we liked about this non-camping camping trip.

1.  Throwing rocks in water.  (Sorry, no pics…safety first!).

2.  Pushing the dump truck around.

3.  Running!

4.  Hanging by the fire waiting for brats.  (And keeping monkey around…as evidenced in the background)

Please note that this kid is actually in a rocking chair hanging out by the fire.  What a stud.

Catch up…or relax?

Relax!

Unfortunately, having a two-year-old means that relaxing is a bit challenging.

So I guess I’ll catch you up on the happenings around these here parts.

First.  I graduated!  That’s the big news, that’s why it first.  And that’s why I need to relax.

Second.  We’ve moved.  And we’re nearly done moving in.  Thank goodness…because moving is not relaxing.

Third.  I’m way into the 3rd trimester now.  Only 5 weeks to go!  Also not helping the relaxing…mostly due to increased exhaustion and discomfort and decreased sleeping.  Oh well.

Trying to Come Back

Well, needless to say, I’ve been a little overwhelmed by school of late.  Hence the months and months of no posts.  I’d like to say I’m back with a vengence, but mostly I’m burnt out on school and therefore procrastinating (oops!).  However, school is about to be done so hopefully my energy levels rise and I can began posting more frequently.

I do have some big news.  I baked my husband a cake a couple months ago.  It was chocolate.  And delicious.  But that’s not the news.  I actually (kinda) decorated it.

Haha!  It’s true.  We’re expecting kiddo number two in September.  That puts me at 100% pregnant, or 18 weeks at this time (but seriously close to 19 weeks).

Proof?  You say you want proof?  Like a cake isn’t good enough for you?  Well here’s a picture from Easter Sunday where you can see a belly bump.  You can also see SweetPea and how she’s pretty much the coolest kid ever.

Baby Bump – 16 weeks

And I’ll be graduating August 2nd, so I should graduate just at the time I start to get unbearably uncomfortable.

We’re also moving!  Not for a while, but soon.  Why?  Because grandparents are good.  And having grandparents around will be awesome.  Oh, and my parents are awesome in general and it will be nice to be closer to two of my best friends.  Oh, and did I mention I may have grown up in one of the  most beautiful areas in the United States?  Because I did, and that’s where we’re heading.  And I couldn’t be more excited to raise my kids there.

You might be wondering just how beautiful this area is, so I gathered some proof.  Feast your eyes!

And another!  Believe it or not, this next photo was not posed.  My dad and I are just that awesome.

Needless to say, I’m excited to be moving up there.  I’m excited to hang with  my folks.  I’m excited to play in my mountains.

I’ll try to be better about updating this thing 🙂
